PS3 Repairs- Common Problems
Compared to other game systems like the XBox 360 and PSP, PS3 repairs are not as common, though they system does break down. Here are the most common Playstation 3 problems:
- Lights are flashing. Similar to XBox Red Ring of Death problem.
- PS3 won’t power up. Or if it does it comes to a black screen with just a white strip down the middle.
- Fan breaks and can’t cool system anymore.
- PS3 doesn’t detect it’s hard drive.
- The info board freezes the game. Or you might start it up and it freezes on the login page.
- PS3 can’t read the game disks. This is common, it will play PS2 games but not the games it was meant for.
- Corrupted disk errors.
- PS3 bluetooth controller stops working but other controllers work fine.
- Internet connection problems. Other computers in the house can connect but your PS3 can’t.
- Downloading game problems. The PS3 works before, but after downloading a game extra the disk won’t load anymore.
All of these problems suck and take away from your gaming. I have had my PS3 not play PS3 games, only PS2 games before and it was an easy fix with the guide. I also used the guideĀ for my buddy whose PS3 repairs were easy. His screen was freezing after loading a game and was getting corrupted disk errors. Both took me only like 30 minutes to fix. I see these companies online charging a little over $100 to fix your Playstation 3 problems. I’m seriously considering doing it for my friends and others in my town for $30. I could make a ton of easy cash this way. No more delivering pizzas on the weekend anymore if I do, that’s for sure.
I have heard rumors of Sony trying to update the PS3 more and fix some of these common problems with a download. I’ve been hearing these rumors from friends and on the internet for over a year. So until that happens, keep holding your breath. If I go into the repair business, they can wait all they want!
